Letter From Secretary-General

MUNvictus 2026

Delegates, Chairs, and Honoured Guests,

In an age of disinformation, polarization, and silence disguised as peace, you have chosen to speak.

You have chosen to step into a forum where ideas are sharpened, not silenced. Where diplomacy is not a performance, but a responsibility. And where resilience is not a buzzword it is a battle cry.

MUNvictus is not just a Model United Nations. It is a declaration.

A declaration that youth is not the future, it is the present.
A declaration that when the halls of power hesitate, we will act.
A declaration that even when the world fractures, we remain:
Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.

This conference was built not by chance, but by force of will, by a team who refused to accept mediocrity, who worked late nights and early mornings, not just to host a conference, but to ignite something greater.

To my Executive Team, I thank you. Your strength, loyalty, and belief have been the backbone of this endeavor. You stood by me not just as friends, but as visionaries, as the co-architects of something enduring.

Because this isn’t just one event of a debate. It is the beginning of a legacy. A network. A home.

MUNvictus is a family in the making.
A community that does not end when the gavel drops, it grows.
With every resolution passed, every motion debated, and every connection forged, we are building not just a conference, but an alumni of voices who will lead long after the placards are set down.

You will challenge global powers. You will interrogate secrets. You will confront uncomfortable truths. And you will do so not as imitators of diplomacy, but as its fiercest reformers.

To the first-time delegates: this is where your voice finds its storm.
To the returning veterans: this is your call to go deeper, sharper, louder.
To every one of you: do not waste this moment. Own it. Shape it. Let it echo.

This is MUNvictus. And the world will remember we were here.

With defiant pride,
Mare Tanem Yavuz
Secretary-General
